John M. Lundblad, J.D., has worked with senior adults for over 30 years as a member and chair of boards of directors/trustees in city, regional and national not for profit health care hospitals and retirement organizations. In addition to mediating disputes involving health care providers, he presents mediation and communication skills training courses to organization management and staff. Mr. Lundblad received his basic, advanced civil, family mediation and arbitration trainings in multiple MN locations, Boston, MA, and San Jose, Costa Rica. Mr. Lundblad is the founder and principal of Midwest Mediation, Inc., providing alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services and mediation skills training programs. He is qualified neutral under the MN District Court Rules of General Practice, has served on the MN Supreme Court appointed Alternate Dispute Resolution Board, taught as an adjunct professor at the Lawyering Skills Institute and as faculty for multiple MN CLE and other training providers in mediation skills training programs, and was a charter member/founder of Rice County MN Dispute Resolution Project and Southern MN Dispute Resolution Project. Mr. Lundblad shared his mediation skills and knowledge in a presentation to the 1st Continental Congress on Agricultural and Environmental Justice in Costa Rica and has worked with the European Union and Panama Supreme Court to evaluate, train and strengthen mediation centers in Panama. Mr. Lundblad's extensive legal and ADR experiences uniquely qualify him to relate and connect, with consumers and providers alike, with the challenges to provide satisfactory communications between and among individuals, families, and health care providers in our aging population.
